1. Preface

In the laws of power sociology, there is a principle called Realpolitik. The world does not move based on pity, but on the balance of power. Psychologically, continuously condemning without real action only creates “learned helplessness.” Yet Islam offers a scientific way out: the transition from emotion to action. True inner peace arises not when we weep begging for the enemy’s mercy, but when we build independent strength that makes the enemy think a thousand times before oppressing.Allah SWT reminded us through the history of the arrogant people of ‘Ad and their strength:

“As for ‘Ad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, ‘Who is greater than us in strength?’ Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength? And they rejected Our signs.” (QS. Fussilat: 15)

The Messenger ﷺ also emphasized that strength is a means of honor for a believer:

اَلْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ

“The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer.” (HR. Muslim)

2. Explanation

Heroism is not found in foaming words of condemnation, because to an arrogant oppressor, a protest letter is just blank paper. Don’t make tears and complaints our “merchandise”; let us shift from the language of the weak to the language of the dignified: the language of independence, unity, and real preparation. Imagine a mother amid the rubble, silent without cursing her enemies. When asked why, she replied, “Why should I speak to a deaf wall? I speak only to Allah, then I teach my children how to rebuild a wall stronger than before.” That mother’s silence is strength, because she knows words without action are merely sounds blown away by the wind.Relying on condemnation to stop an arrogant enemy is like trying to put out a great fire by blowing on it. Instead of dying out, we’ll run out of breath while the fire keeps blazing. If you want the fire to go out, stop blowing and start looking for a water source—namely knowledge, a strong economy, and unbreakable brotherhood. We can be funny sometimes; our hobby is cursing the darkness until we’re hoarse, but when asked how many candles we’ve lit, we’re busy writing biting curses on social media instead. Remember, your candle doesn’t need a caption—it just needs fire. Your enemies are not afraid of hashtags; they’re only afraid if you suddenly become smart and economically and technologically independent.

3. Lessons and Message

The fundamental lesson for us is that the dignity of a nation or an ummah is not requested—it is built. The moral message: stop being a petitioner for mercy on the international stage, and start being a player that matters through real work and strength. Piety must be paired with expertise, and prayer must be accompanied by proper preparation of means (i’dad).

4. Conclusion

My brothers and sisters, stop offering the “merchandise of the weak”—complaints—to those who are arrogant. Emulate the strength of Allah who created them. Let us build strength in every aspect of life. If we better ourselves and strengthen our ranks, then Allah’s promise will come, and the arrogance of today’s ‘Ad will collapse before the honor of an ummah that preserves its integrity and strength
