Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim1. Preface

Unbounded, excessive love can lead to “cognitive bias,” where a person loses objectivity for the sake of maintaining emotional harmony. True tranquility of the soul is born when love for human beings is placed beneath love for the Creator. Allah reminds us:

“O you who have believed, indeed, among your spouses and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them.” (QS. At-Taghabun : 14)[64]2. Explanation

True love is that which leads us together toward Paradise. A family leader must keep the helm on the path of truth even when faced with emotional obstacles. Do not become a “hero” before your family while becoming a “transgressor” before Allah by indulging desires that cross the limits. Remember the boundary of obedience:

لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوْقٍ فِيْ مَعْصِيَةِ الْخَالِقِ

“There is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator.” (HR. Ahmad)

3. Lessons and Message

The primary lesson is that our duty is not merely to feed the body, but to save the souls of our family.

The moral message: be a leader who is firm in principle yet gentle in delivery. Love that distracts from Allah is a snare to be wary of.

4. Conclusion

Beloved brothers and sisters, raise your family with faith so that love in this world lasts until Paradise. Beware of love that distances you from Allah. May Allah make our families a coolness for our eyes and a salvation in the Hereafter. Amin

والله أعلم بالصواب
