1. Opening

Biologically, you are the peak of the universe’s complexity. Inside the human brain are 86 billion neurons connected through trillions of synapses, creating a communication network more intricate than the entire internet. Our DNA stores digital information millions of times denser and more efficient than the most advanced hard drive today. Yet science proves that a machine this complex has a weak point: psychological fragility. Without clear direction, neurotransmitters like dopamine and cortisol collide, creating anxiety. Scientifically, the human soul needs an “anchor” of values to keep the nervous system stable.

Allah SWT affirms that our creation was done with perfect precision:

الْإِنْسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا

“Indeed, We have created humankind in the best of forms.” (QS. At-Tīn: 4)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ also reminded us that every “machine” has a central point of focus to keep it from breaking down:

أَلَا وَإِنَّ فِي الْجَسَدِ مُضْغَةً إِذَا صَلَحَتْ صَلَحَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ وَإِذَا فَسَدَتْ فَسَدَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ أَلَا وَهِيَ

الْقَلْبُ

“Beware, in the body there is a lump of flesh. If it is sound, the whole body is sound. If it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Beware, it is the heart.” (HR. Bukhārī & Muslim)

2. Lessons and Message

The value of an item is determined by who made it and how complex its function is. If you are God’s most perfect creation, then your worth is not defined by likes, bank balance, or human opinion. Don’t degrade this divine “product” by living recklessly. Valuing yourself means following the procedures set by the Creator. Have you ever heard the story of a man who found his late father’s antique watch, completely dead? He took it to regular repair shops, but they gave up because the mechanism was too complex. Finally, he found the original maker, now old and frail. With one gentle touch and a drop of special oil, the watch ticked again. The maker said, “Only I know where the tiniest screw is, because I designed it.” It’s the same with our souls; when the world gives up on healing our wounds, return to the Designer in prostration. Only He knows which “bolt” in your heart is loose.

A Boeing 787 has a manual tens of thousands of pages long. No sane pilot flies using just “feelings” or “instinct” without checking the instruments and the manual. Our life is far more complex than a Boeing engine. If flying a plane requires strict rules to avoid crashing, how can we dare to navigate this stormy life without opening the Qur’an as our manual? Living without guidance isn’t called “freedom”—it’s waiting for the crash.

We’re funny. Buy expensive skincare and we read the instructions carefully: “Avoid sunlight,” “Apply thinly.” We obey! But when our Creator says, “Do not go near zina” or “Do not consume riba,” we answer, “Well, God knows I’m only human.” We’re more afraid of our face breaking out from the wrong cream than our life breaking down from the wrong path. Yet a glowing face in the grave won’t be questioned—your deeds will.

3. Conclusion and Closing

My blessed brothers and sisters, you are not a failed product, nor are you a mass-produced item made without purpose. You are a limited edition, designed with infinite love by Allah SWT. Don’t let this magnificent “machine” break down just because you refuse to read the manual. The Qur’an and Sunnah are not meant to confine you, but to ensure you soar high without ever shattering into pieces.
